this was it! thank you so much, other joystick that was still working didnt have any grease on it amd the one that had insane drift had it, so maybe it isnt meant to have it?

Just followed your tutorial today trying to fix the drift in one of my sticks and it worked! Had a couple of scares because tools were meh (eyebrow tweezers instead of needlenose pliers almost cost my a battery wire) But I put it together and it was good as new!

I did all of this And now my right thumb stick makes the tiniest clicking sound when I use it, but it fixed the drift I didn’t think it was gonna work after I had it back together and heard that sound A little annoying, but no drift Thanks a LOT

I just did all this and mine works again! I doubted it would work since my controller that came with the ps5 was only a few months old and clean and I don't play as much as I used to So I did all this, cleaned that thingy, even dustered both modules out, and went back to that pc controller test and couldn't replicate the drifting results that I had just gotten prior! I was shocked to say the least! We'll see how long it lasts, but it's a step in the right direction! Great video! I didn't replace any lube because I think it will just collect debris faster Thanks for the video! 👍🏼✌🏼

After watching this and finding out it was just dirt that could affect my stick drift, I just lightly pushed up on my left joystick and moved it left to right really fast while it was pushed up / the direction the drift was inbrbrWorks perfect again lol

When I tried to clip the orange part beside the joystick back on after cleaning it, it just falls off after pushing it in It makes clicking sounds when I push it in but it won’t stick Is there any way to make it stick to the side of the joystick? It’s at 6:31 in the video
