The single biggest mistake a survivalist can make regarding their portable equipment (Bug out bagor whatever you chose to call it)is not testing it under the conditions it is intended to be used in I have reviewed dozens of videos on this topic and very few even remotely mention testing out the items in the field And not only that, but to do so on a regular basis, under a variety of conditions It could be deadly to find out your pack and supplies are unable to sustain you when things really do go South Know and use your gear Break it in Test it And become expert at using each and every item you intend on lugging around Finally, make sure you can actually carry the weight you have packed, for the distances you need to travel If you can only walk five miles with 30lbs of gear, don't pack 50lbs Comment from : Myztic Traveler |

1 Serrations are not made to baton through woodbr2 You also want a sharpener for your knivesbr3 It's a good idea to have a folding saw in your packbr4 An axe is something that you need to consider as to whether or not you really need it A very good alternative to a axe is the Gerber versafix Doesn't weigh as much as an axe, can take all kinds of abuse, and is made for batoningbr5 Having a whistle is also something worth having Comment from : Dutch Vanderbilt |

Very informative Thank you so much for the video The water suggestions are All very very good Always have multiple ways of treating water and always start with some water! In all honesty though, if there is civil unrest, it won't matter what type of backpack you're carrying People will want your things anyway It's more probable that they will be less likely to attack someone who is carrying a tactical backpack with visible weapons on hand They'll want the easy targets, the regular Joe Blows who are unprepared and have fewer means to fight back It's safer for those who want to plunder, and any backpack can be a target, be it tactical or not I'd rather look like I can defend myself, rather than look like an easy target and have to deal with multiple attacks Comment from : Ruby Lady |

Never, EVER put the battery in your flashlight backwards! Inverse polarity will cause both the battery and the light to heat up to a dangerous temp It can also damage the circuit in your light and most lights do NOT have reverse voltage protection Maybe this is different for multiple battery lights and you only flip one, i don't know But if your light only takes one battery, don't flip it! Comment from : Tricellceo |
I like goodies hair ties for pony tail they don't stretch out always stay tight and very cheap and also don't break Comment from : Jerry Miller |
flipping the battery will make the normal batteries attempt to reverse the polarity of the flipped battery when the switch is turned on, that's the worst you can do since it will drain the batteries even faster and also make them leak Comment from : Yukterez Net |
I'd trade 3 of those flashlights and a few of those knives for a wool blanket Comment from : Ming Mongo |
