good tips however coconut oil is a poor substitute for lip treatment, it's not moisturizing (I make organic vegan skincare) diy a shea butter one the commercial stuff is made out of petroleum oil, a by product of gasoline very toxic and people put it on their lips

one more tip When I do buy packaged fruits, vegetables or berries, I bring the containers to the people who sell at a farmers' market So they can reuse them, instead of recycling them I avid buying packaged fruits and vegetables, but with berries it's pretty much impossible So instead of recycling, I bring them to a farmer for reuse

to clean limescale, u can also use dry lemon powder U can buy it in a baking isle 1 teaspoon& Easier to handle than vinegar just 1 teaspoon is and your kettle is good as new! no need to stir it either

i find that swapping is a matter of habit once you get into that habit for 1-2 weeks, it comes so naturally many of us don't get into that routine because we find it a chore, because it's not incorporately smoothly into our daily life

Please, don't diy skincare It's completely ineffective, hence wasteful, at best and harmful at worst Just opt for more sustainable brands and try keeping your routine as minimal as possible

Also a tip if you decide to eat meat (currently myself) buy local! Buy from people who care for the animals wellbeing and use every last bit of it This may be more expensive but it's a whole lot better than industrial farms

74 is extremely important and one of the most common things that turn into a trap brGoing zero or less waste doesnt mean "toss everything that is not sustainable and buy sustainable things", it means use as much as you can of it, push its life to the very far you can and only throw it (responsibly, if possible) when it's no longer usable/reusable, and, only if you actually need a replacement, buy a sustainable, durable alternative, always checking of it can be bought second hand, borrowed, gifted or so

All these things were done in my country (Romania) during the communist regime (30 years ago) On one hand shops had very few things to sell, and people appreciated everything they had, upcycled clothes, grew their own food, etc On the other hand, the country had an excellentcrecycling programme : among other things, kids were expected to bring a bag full of scrap paper every few months, the paper was collected at school and sent to paper mills, bottles of beer and juice were always refilled Not to mention that students had weeks of agricultural labour / year Etcbr After the revolution and the liberalisation of the market everyone started buying and wasting like crazy

Not sure if I missed this in the video, but another good swap is to use a handkerchief!! I get sniffles often due to allergies and after using one for over a year, I’ve saved so much instead of using tissues!

I used cloth diapers for my daughter and it was pretty easy, I did live in a warm climate so they air dried quickly, I also invested in a spindle to get as much water out of the diapers as possible When she potty trained I sold the diapers, I still have and use the spindle 👍😁 Most of the baby items that parents buy I used second hand, from family and friends and even passed those items to other friends

I am 66 yrs old and learned a lot of these long ago from frugal parents who grew up poor in the depression era I hate waste and I luv your style A little fast talking for an old southern woman, but since I like you so well, I'll adapt my hearing of what I can find of you I am a little overwhelmed with too many things right now, so I like the comment, use what you can and leave the rest I do upcycle and repurpose what I can We sell at the local flea market and I donate the rest Very little do I actually send to the dump I have been trying to declutter and organize I lost my son almost 2 yrs ago The grieving process is so strong But he was my last immediate family member left so I am trying to remove everything I can live without I do not want to leave all my things for my husband to hoard thinking they meant the world to me Especially since I'm still trying to do all the sorting from my parents belongings I really appreciated the board for the bees in the last video We live in the country and have a lot of carpenter bees Great suggestions for the ones without homes Come to me at just the right time Spring here in USA, Al Thank you for all your suggestions! gt

Sometimes bacteria, heavy metals, or chemicals can slip through (or react with) carbon and make it DANGEROUS Sometimes you need to boil the water, or buy a professional HEPA filter that is specifically made for that!! bIt's better to buy a monthly filter than to risk your own health!/b

We learned recently our nearby supermarket would give us the fat scraps trimmed off their beef and/or pork If no one requests it, they throw it away We have been rendering and purifying it, making tallow soap, tallow candles, and using tallow for cooking I diy’d moisturizer from it by whipping it Works great!!brEdit: Wow she did a great job with this video!

For toilet paper i don't use it i use unbleached cotton baby wipes I feel much cleaner Also i put them in a wet dry bag with a zipper after use I wash them in hot water with a mild soap both liquid and powder for grit No bleach I wash them with my other towels and kitchen towels Everything is clean and no cross contamination The wet dry bag i actually have two Sadly polyester but it can be hand washed
