Although the US is different to Europe in regards to numbers of guns, the thing they both have in common is people Theres no difference between people on either continent, de escalation should always be the first priority, if it takes 5 minutes or 5 hours, it makes no difference, the go to response shouldnt be to kill a person, especially if its a mental issue That woman with the shotgun could well be a law abiding, tax paying citizen thats just had a bad day, and mentally broken down Next week she may be back at work and paying tax, and a cop can go home not bearing the mental scars of just having killed someone as part of his job Lets not forget that the cop is a victim in this as well, the mental problems could well make him even more trigger happy next time

6:19 here in germany the police isn't allowed to shoot at someone unless really neccecary Like if a person runs at them with a knife and is to close for them to use other methods they can shoot They are also allowed to shoot if they get shot at If a person holds a weapon the police will point their weapon on them and demand that the person puts the weapon away wich will go on until the person surrenders or other things have been tried Not to long ago there was a situation wher two police officers got attacked by a group of people They got in close combat and the two officers that came to their help didn't shoot the goup of people attacking They instead made one warning shot in to the air So no just because other countrys don't have as many weapons our police doesn't shoot everyone that, even illegaly, carrys a weapon because that would be unneccecary force We also don't use hollow point ammo because they make worse wounds But it is an ongoing discussion if we should change away from fmj
