I recently went to Wesley chapel Mazda in fl Wanted to buy a used Mazda cx-30 After test drive I asked manager if he had any wiggle room on price He would not even hear what my offer was, he just flat out said no The price is the price He suggested we work off the trade value I told him there was no trade So, he let me walk My offer was going to be $600 less because of some minor scratches and paint chips But, instead of having my price, I walked Less than 2 wks later the car was discounted $900 How stupid are these dealers that they would let a deal walk out the door for 5-600 bucks and now have to sell it for even lessFlorida is a terrible state to buy a car Comment from : Wayne Bondy |

in my state, the law says a dealer may NOT charge a doc fee unless it's advertised with the price, in the showroom and in the finance office the law also says they don't have to charge the fee at all or can reduce it the dealers insist they have to charge everyone the same the law doesn't say that the dealers simply lie about it but they will NOT remove any fees they know that if one person walks, the next 999 customers will pay it without question they don't want word to get out that someone can buy a new vehicle without the fees also, "no fee" dealers won't discount the price by the same amount as dealers who charge fees, so you're paying the same either way Comment from : connor flanigan |

Brandon Hyundai is a terrible dealership They advertise a "lifetime warranty" including roadside assistance etc but it's 1600$, and they attempted to double up fees by "doc fee" of 999, and tax and non tax fee They added 5000 to the price advertised online and also tried to increase the car price if I didn't use their financing Comment from : Xander Crews |

I recently tried negotiating the price of a car to offset the ridiculous $800 doc fee a CT dealer wanted to charge me The salesman wouldn't budge on the price so I decided to walk The next day the salesman called to ask if I had reconsidered when I told him "no" he actually told me not to come back to his dealership in the future I never said anything about paying cash for the car but he told me he knew that's what I was planning and said he didn't need or want my business Comment from : SevenFortyOne |

I find that many dealers just stop contacting you when you call them out on fees They realize that you've found their "profit center" and they shut down I just had a dealer try to charge me more than the price shown on both their website and on True Car and EdmundsbrbrI'm even willing to do some of the work myself (title, registration, etc), to save money That's often met with resistance from dealers who know again that you're after their profit center I believe that there should be enough into the base price of the car for them to make a profit brbrWhen is your buying service for Toyota coming online for the New York and NJ area?
