I live in San Antonio TX and I'm buying a 2023 Ford Explorer I noticed all the Ford dealers here are forcing this Protection Plan Plus on you, they're saying you have to get it, it's built in There's probably about 6 dealerships near me I've only gone to about 3 of them and they've all had this next to the MSRP sticker on the window for $199500 When you look at it, it's just a bunch of fluff stuff that I would obtain for myself It looks like they're upcharging you to make up for the $350000 rebate that they're offering

Omg I worked for a dealership and all of these are so true and how they take advantage of an innocent buyer even the parts are marked up and the service writer pushes for things you dint need to get his commissions The whole thing of buying a car is so disgusting

seems to me that the biggest thing going on here is a dealership trying to get you to pay for things that are part of their cost of doing business (ie: paying for their "advertising" feesplease)this is very much like what car insurance companies do when you have an accident (they use it as a justification to raise your rates in order to make more money from you monthly, and getting you to pay them back for the money they gave you to fix/replace your car)
