guys, it is not all about gaming and mining Nvidia GPUs are used also for research on AI by trining Neural Networks on CUDA Whn they nerf an algo like ETH, there might be colateral damage on reasearch projects, so yes, they need to stop doing that

My take: Nvidia unlocked the drivers for beta and were planning to release them anyway to unlock them like now (btw you cant use the 3060 with 47005 on a riser, must be on a mobo with a display connected), Linus knows that gamers will also want to make some money by newbie mining but may only have a single gpu eg a 3060, Nvidia only wanted the hashrate limiter to scare off bulk 3060 buyers but is more friendly towards gamers that dont mind mining on a single gpu hence this drivers allowance for mining
