I've got my first full pull up on day 66 today, which constitutes three attempts at the program No rest It's 1 with regular and inverted grip alikebrbrOn my third attempt, from day 45, I started to do the inverted rows with legs extended because otherwise they would step in and ruin my form brbrFew things to note:br1 Get yourself exercise gloves if the bar is hard on your skin Otherwise you will be in a world of hurt My palms have not yet fully recovered to this daybr2 Do not count eccentric count repetitions unless you hang for at least 3 seconds brbrI will be doing it again Thanks, Jeff! I wanted to share a success story too and it's 100 because of your tips and easier variations so thanks a lot!!! I am the weakest girl possible (like ballerina type) and I was never able to do gym stuff like pull ups ou push ups I tried your 22 days pull ups protocole and I failed My body just wasn't ready and needed more strengh training in general 5 months after I started strengh training with exercices from your youtube videos and a lot of your pull up variations/preparatory stuff, I finally managed to do my first pull up but only with my legs crossed underneath me (like we see many people do) I never stoped trying the way you show with straight legs up front but I needed an elastic band and I wasn't strong ennough Doing them the wrong way still strenghen my back and I eventually succeded to to 2 "the wrong way" Yesterday, with my boyfriend as a witness and totally unexpectedly, I did 2 (almost 3) unassisted pull ups the right way with straight legs up front and they were easy and with my head really sticking out of the bar More confortable than the other way for sure and I felt lighter I got many single ones that way with breaks afterwards I was all excited (I've been waiting this for 7 months) and my boyfriend said "gee you are really improoving" and got up to the bar to make sure he could still do more pull ups than me hahaha He can do 5 to 7 on good days (naturally, he doesn't train at all, lucky him) and he doesn't want me to "maybe" beat him one day 😂! I was really really the weakest person like my 9 yo neice is still stronger than me on the bench press (which I practice madly) So, if I can now start to do pull ups, anyone healthy with good shoulders can! I only beleived in myself, worked very hard and followed good advice If there are any hopeless or desperate girls here, it's possible!!! This is really great for someone who hasn't got access to an assisted pull up machine brbrBut if you do have access, do that instead and progressive overload from their to build up your pullup strength and you would be able to do equivalent number of pull ups as this program(great program by the way) in equal amount of days brbrThis is how I did it back in the days and when I couldn't do even 1 quality pull up brbrStarted doing assisted pull ups and about in one month, I was able to do a complete set of 10 pull ups in one row with my body weight brBut no more than one set(that was my max after one month of consistency) and yours can vary as per your natural levels of strength brbrNow after 2 years of those weak days😅, I can do 30 pull ups in a row no problem I just love doing pull ups Comment from : Muzahir Ali |
