Hello, so I watched a video of Jeff Cavalier in which he also explained about the correct form of a push up I am a bit confused because he explained that during a push up our shoulder blades should not flaring outwards or inwards rather they should be set at a fixed position While Jeremy here tells us to flare them during the exercise Which one should I follow? I occasionally do push ups but to be honest it's a measure not an exercise Before I saw this video I did 30 push ups "properly" I had it in me to do 40 but for me its to check on my body strength not to gain anything I am almost 63 so I don't need to be hanging out at the gym I do some sit ups and relax Im not out of breath it's simple and not a challenge Im going to do some chin ups but again it's not about a challenge Just do what I can and don't beat myself up Comment from : @messenger8279 |

dont waste your time with extending your time as you push yourself up , even if youre only up to 5 reps it is of much importance that as you push up , you do it as fast as you can , the speed with which you execute it and the amount determin your strength fast coming up and a bit slower as you lower yourself the other thing is your breathing has to be correct , inhale as you relax the muscles and inhale as you flex for a better blood oxygenation in your lungs Comment from : @hernandotatis1302 |
