Since I stopped drinking, I haven’t needed to take meds for depression and anxiety I now know the sadness is directly linked to the abuse

Dr Ramani, I’ve been watching your whole series about narcissism and I find it very interesting, but there is an item that is repeated constantly and it is erroneous to consider that it occurs in every case Please, take note that not all of us who have had to deal intimately with narcissists of any stripe end up feeling worthless, or guilty, or deserving of punishment or the reason for the abuse I suppose that it all depends on the personality of the abuse recipient, but I can say that some of us do not accept the unreasonable demands that overt narcs impose on us, making for a very difficult situation with frequent arguments and fights, or with the gradual changes in behaviour, from love bombing to discard typical of the covert narcs And both situations can end up in severe depression (it happened to me), but not all victims of narcissistic abuse react the same way, and this should be taken into account brI wish I could have a consultation with you and explain my points, but I’m going through a difficult, protacted (10 years already) and expensive divorce from the covert narc husband and cannot afford extra fees at this time

Being the victim of narcissistic abuse will of course create depression Therefore it is not a mental illness, it is a normal biologically appropriate responseMedicating the victim doesn't help Changing the situation fixes it

It's impossible to get away from the cycle of abuse when you share children with your abuser You cannot ever heal when you are stuck in this situation even if you are divorced

i have a great pisicolest but I don't think she knows what narrsatistic abuse is i keep going to see her once a week but i don't think she knows what narrsisiom is let alone the abuse
