Hey man I feel like I've reached a upper maximum for reps i can do weightless with pullups I want to continue gaining the muscle hypertrophy benefits of the pullups but i don't have any equipment such as weights or chains to let me put larger loads What variations of pullups should I do that are harder but still are as reliable for muscle building that don't require that much equipment? Slightly off topic question for you I do body weight squats every day but have a weird issue When dropping into the squat, my feet are wide and pointing out 45 degrees ish Kind of Sumo stance It feels natural and I don't lose any strength or flexibility for it When I raise up and thrust my hips forward I have to angle my feet forward more or I get an uncomfortable pop/twinge in my right hip If I keep my feet pointing out to get as deep as I can I can't avoid it, but the angle change/slight rotation in my feet and legs solves the issue I'm assuming different leg length is the cause Is that still considered correct form? When I was younger, I loved pull-ups cause they gave me that V-taper and muscular arms with awesome vascularity Now 30yrs later I love them cause they keep my body from getting destroyed by being a desk jockey 40hrs a week I put special emphasis on activating the scapula all throughout the movement, getting a total stretch at the bottom, start the ascent by squeezing the scapula and finishing that squeeze at the very top as if I'm trying to squeeze an orange between my shoulder blades All in all, the benefits of pull-ups are solid in every aspect Comment from : Chunk Wobbler |
