Just found your videos and subscribed I am a 80yo lady who is out ld shape and about 30lbs to heavy Am interested in getting back to some jogging /running In the past have done some 5ks and gotten some firsts in my age group mostly due to having out lived my competition!! Use chest strap HR monitor and am doing the MAF Max HR is 144 and zone 2 is 100 boy is that slow walk try do 20min at a time but due to back stenosis and Hip issues that is about all so far Will keep going and have to listen to my body much more now Not enough days In the week to do my walks, strength training and recovery days so will have to work that all out Any tips or tricks appreciated

Another excellent video on all considerations concerning improving the overall running experience for we wizen types The Sarcopenia considerations are substantial for the 60 and over crowd I would also add resistance training doesn’t necessarily have to be concentrated in the lower body Muscle mass should be maintained and developed throughout Love ALL your videos TY💪🏻💪🏻

GAWD! I've been dithering over strength training for the best part of the year Trouble is, at my age, I get exhausted watching the suggested routines brAnother problem: I've realised that I am doing "easy runs" to aggressively That's proving a hard habit to break: 10k jogs constantly glancing at my watch in a futile effort to keep my workout in the blue zone! I blame the hills! And they're barely inclines in my neighbourhood brOh well, back to the streets

Great tips! Thanks!! Regarding strength training I am often guilty of overlooking the most difficult areas in my strength training I love big, complex movements for overall strength But I regularly neglect problem areas (for me, hip flexors and hips are big ones) And I usually pay for this with an injury
