I think you're really a good teacher Thank you Comment from : Mark Koons |
This was very interesting I would love to have that ball end turning device for my wood lathe, lots of uses for that I can get a fairly accurate sphere on the end of stock but it takes a lot of messing around to do so Now off to part three!! Comment from : Dan Breyfogle |
love , teacher Comment from : ron whittaker |
My circle cutter is from an eBay kit and it blows I already made a thicker aluminum swivel tool holding piece The work sucks the tools down It was a 50 kit including handles and instructions that won't work unless you add a set screw Handle slips too and I oversized the pins in the kit up to 1/4"Piece of crap I may duplicate the design in steel 1/2" thick Comment from : 1-Shot slinger |
Genius how you indicated the ball mill travel Going to use that trick Did not think of that Comment from : 1-Shot slinger |

I find that you can turn a "completely round" ball by drilling and tapping the needed threads for ball mounting on your project in the beginning 1st-Face the front end of stock 2nd-center drill-3rd drill and tap for required thread size and depth 4th-turn the radius as was done in this video 5th-Part the opposite end at your measurement (appx 50 in length of the diameter size) 6th-Mount the turned radius on your matching mandrel and turn the other 50 of stock as in the primary stage of this video Actually faster for me this way when I want a round or multi-shaped sphere Comment from : Made with Scraps |
In a pinch, I mounted a hss moulding cutter as a form tool in my mini-lathe and turned a radius on the end of a 1/4" brass rod The profile is slightly different, but it served my purpose well enough You gave me the idea, and thank you very much Comment from : Fred Wild |
Great video I love the Paul Harvey sign off at the end Comment from : Michael Jones |
I searched for video on turning an interior radius, but, apparently my "Google-Fu" is weak Is there one? Comment from : David H Hope |

I've been looking around, but have come up empty- I need to turn a internal convex curve- not concave I'm turning an outside housing for a turbocharger compressor An outside convex curve seems simple, but how do I do it inside? Thanks Comment from : Glofilter |

Hi there please accept a little tip on cutting aluminium use paraffin it will cut a lot better than water/white-water all the best buz Comment from : buzby |
Great videobrOn the form tool, I would have picked three other radii and put a form on each corner of the plate 4 tools for only a few minutes more effort, and no more cost Of course, I'd have used my number stamps to mark the size of each corner Comment from : Tom Wade |
Nice job My old Logan lathe is a little off to Comment from : Chuck B |
If you bought the tool perpendicular to the workpiece (if it is perfectly 1000) and had zerod out the crossfeed when the tool just touches, would that be an effective way to set it up to cut that 1/2 inch radius? Comment from : FinalAnimus |
Do you have any interest in doing a video of face milling and fly cutting? I have done and and would love to learn and it and positioning the tool in the fly cutter Thaks Comment from : Uncle Red |

I'm curious what you think of google plus and the situation as it is? please consider doing what I did set your videos to private that way no one can see them anymore and google cant make money off of them this will hurt google in the pocket book! if we can get enough serious content providers like you to do this we may have a half a chance see my video that explains how I did this on my main youtube page also share this information so others will also make their content private together we made youtube what it is and together we can bring it down!
