Absolutely no way should you apologize for making a score at an auction I have been machining for over 30 years, and just got a Model 820 Logan 10 inch lathe with a turret tail stock Currently I am totally tearing it down and cleaning everything and repainting as wellEnvious of the 4 jaw chucks and actual tail stocks, but when I am done rebuilding the lathe I will get serious about finding those parts, just like you at an auctionLOL, had to build a home made taper attachment so I can thread on a taper for some of my outboard mechanic friends Keep the videos coming and stop apologizinglol

@ 8:38, that ball bearing with the flat spot is to hold irregular pieces in a vise Put one side of the work piece against the stationary side of the vise, put the flat side of the ball against the moving side of the vise, the round side to the work piece, tighten it up, it holds even if the sides of the work piece are not parallel
