bro thank you so much I can do like 10 regular pull ups but I cant do a single chest to bar I looked for advice but they would always say things like retract your scapula or whatever the heck its called and lean back, practice isometric holds and what not I have never actually felt my own lats before and learning how to make that mind muscle connection helped a lot I still cannot touch my chest to the bar but I think your advice made everything a lot more clear to me Comment from : Michael Ortiz |

Hey, I try to do pull ups correctly with a bar to my chest, as I have some rounded back posture issues, however, no matter how hard I squeez myself to the bar, it seems that the bar is always 1 inch away from it Considering I can do around 12-15 pull ups without the bar touching my chest, is it a lack of strenght or rather lack of mobility? Thanks so much for this video I found it earlier today and put the tips into practice during my back workout this afternoon I've never managed a chest-to-bar pull-up before in my life but on my first attempt (2 sets of 5 reps) I got my mid chest to bar height on every rep, actually bumping it on the bar for most of them You've made one 70-something-year-old pretty damned pleased with himself! I like chest to bar pullups but this isn't the most effective way to grow big lats Keeping tension on the (lats is) power up with your body slanted engaging core you don't physically get you chin over the bar You get your chin over the bar HEIGHT instead and than you control it down very slow and controlled Comment from : David Senay |
