Sorry if this questions was asked , but what is the running volume for a triathlete ? I don’t want to stop swimming or cycling because obviously the lost of fitness on those disciplines will detrimental if 18 weeks no training, so how can I complement my week mileage with bike and swim please? I’ve finished my first season of triathlon all sprints I’m looking at bumping it up to Olympic distance next summer and finish in October with an IM 703 My weak point is definitely the running Is it better to add in a running block or progressively build up over the summer? Great tips! However being on a plant based diet I would basically have to starve myself if I cut out fiber 24 hours before The benefit for me on race day as a plant based athlete, is there is never any surprises when it comes to toilet time Without going into detail, I’m always good to go when it’s time to race and I never cut any fiber out of my diet To each their own though There was definitely a transition period, but now there are no mysteries and that’s a huge benefit in my eyes when it comes to endurance sports No surprises out on the course ever! 😁 Comment from : imterribee |

This video contained everything I would suggest if I was asked 😄 great advice! 60 miles a week is almost necessary, race day nutrition to avoid the wall is very important, and being able to do that 37 10km or 1:23 half Also doing your long run at a slow aerobic pace to adapt to burning fat I’d keep the cross training low though, unless you can do it in addition to that 60 miles a week Lastly if your man, just shoot for 2:55 that way you know you’ll get into Boston!
