I used to be a big athlete in high school (soccer, kicker for football, and basketball, cross country in middle school) In 2014 I was in a severe single car accident and spent 13 days in a coma I had to relearn how to walk and everything I signed up for a 5k in October because I want to learn how to run again My chiropractic/functional neurologist suggested looking into this chi running technique Thank you for laying things out so clearly in this video! I will definitely be coming back to this many times as I continue in my journey

For efficiency you want to concentrate propelling yourself forward, picture a conveyor belt not a wheel You have too much bounce and leg lift (a young runner mistake) also too much arm swing This all wastes a great deall of energy and it all adds up when running distance

This was helpful but a video like this but for much slower running would be nice For example my legs never get anything close to as high as what's shown at 2:25 Pretty sure that's impossible when running at 7min/km Therefore I assume the technique would be slightly different at those speeds

No one on earth does a heel strike with this much height and step length Ok for viewing and explaining reasons it's ok to over exaggerate, but dude I do heel strike and I bet i'm not more than 10cm above the ground
