Great video and advice In a nutshell long runs upto and over 15 miles, 400 and 1km repeats, 100m strides a couple of times per week or hill sprints, 6-8 mile tempo runs and plenty of mileage over 100mpw of your body an handle it Cross country is key to develop strength and endurance and slowly transitioning into the track You have to have speed and getting as low as 350 for 1500 and 810-20 3km will massively help!

How much do you think the track gives you? I just ran around 32 on the road with no speed work prior (also an ultra runner) What do you think that might yield with a couple months of speedwork and a track focus?

Hey Sage thanks to your elite marathon training plan i was able to improve my marathon time from 3h11m last year to 3h02 this year :D I was aiming for a sub 3h but i break down after 30k But iam optimistic that i will break sub 3h on my next marathon
