At 6’2” and working out 5 days per week, I should have been able to eat 2300 calories per day to lose weight Haha, no, I gained fat 😂So I tried 2000 Nope, that was maintenance So I cut back to 1800 and finally started seeing my BF drop I think it’s because I’m pushing 50 Or maybe every body is different brbrIt’s all good, though The fat is coming off now, and I can always bulk later on Comment from : Matt West |

So im obese (240lbs at 5'8 height) I lost weight before hand and got down to a good weight for me but ONLY doing cardio to about 160lbs I ended up depressed and gaining it all back so now here i am at 240 This time i was wondering if i focus on high protein diet and lift do moderate cardio maybe 40 mins walking and do a split would i see the benefits of lifting the weights or would i Just end up losing any muscle from putting myself in a calorie deficit? Brother So my question is I'm diabetic Type 2 Basically I have to do 16hr or more fasting to keep my sugar low if my goal is to stop taking Metformin I understand that I have to spread out my protein intake throughout the day but its gonna mess up my fasting So basically I can only eat once a day I understand its going to slow down my muscle building but its not really gonna go down to zero right? I think the logic is that say it takes a year to bulk to your target and it takes a year to cut back to your target, it's a total of 2 years And if you recomp, it would take either 2 years or slightly more And herein lies the problem At the 1 year mark, the bulk guy is substantially different looking and this makes a lot of people think that recomp isn't effective Recomp in my experience is the best way Skin stays tight and bones, breathing pattern and metabolism all adapt better Comment from : Gupta General Stores |

Question: What if you replace the calorie deficit with burning calories through cardio? So for example, instead of being in a 300 calorie deficit, you have no calorie deficit but you burn 300 calories every day through cardio Would this make a difference, and if so, would it be a positive or a negative difference when it comes to achieving body recomposition?
